Gerald's Place was a culinary treasure! I relished the buttermilk biscuits each morning, and the nearby El Paso Tapas Bar was a gem at just 0.1 km. In addition, the charming architecture surrounding the B&B made my walks to attractions a delight, while Gerald's hospitality added that personal touch that made me feel right at home.
Honestly, everything was fantastic—couldn't think of anything to fault! Just a slight hiccup with the hilly Edinburgh streets that had me catching my breath, but it only added to the adventure and didn't dull my experience.

The dampness in the room became a significant problem after two nights, impacting breathing despite no prior issues. Accessing the private bathroom required navigating through a communal hallway, which was contrary to expectations of a separate entrance. Additionally, the layout involved multiple stairs, which could be a challenge for some guests.

An unforgettable experience with a warm host
We were truly amazed during our stay. Gerald's hospitality made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. His thoughtful gestures, like having breakfast ready for us on time and encouraging us to rest after our long journey, were incredibly helpful. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring all the local attractions. If there was one thing to improve, it would be better ventilation as the dampness affected our stay a bit.

The Superior Deluxe Double or Twin Room was cozy and comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The setup had enough hanging space and tea/coffee facilities, which is always a plus. However, I noticed the bathroom wasn't ensuite and required walking through a communal hallway. It was also a bit damp after a few nights, which was kind of uncomfortable.
